"Doing things right the first time, even if it costs a little more, makes for happy homeowners and well built homes."
I grew up on my grandparents farm and ranch in Poetry, Texas. Long days and hard work were the price of admission on to the family farm, but success was contingent upon entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to manage multiple tasks at all times. Fast forward a few years (more than I’d care to admit some times) and I found myself in the homebuilding business. I learned quickly that long days and hard work would be the price of admission in to this business as well, and whether it be meeting with a prospect at a local restaurant for dinner to review concepts and visions of their new home, walking through a home under construction with a contractor at 7am on a winter day, or making sure a light switch got moved to the right location before sheetrock is hung; I’ve done it all
My success as a home builder has been my ability to be accountable to the homeowner to which I am building their home. I consider my way of doing business as ‘homeowner intensive’ – my involvement in the construction of the home is intense, but my involvement with the homeowner is more intense. Imagine a marriage of sorts – ultimate accountability, daily communication, and loyalty to you, the homeowner, not the subcontractors and vendors. All of this transparency in business not only has blessed me to be in a business that I love, but has allowed me to form relationships with homeowners beyond the time I turn over the keys to their new Everett Custom Home. It is a business I treasure and one that I take very seriously.
